Searching for Love::Part Three

Previous Chapter

The next few weeks were great. Minako was living with Darien and she was having a splendid time. He was so funny, witty, and charming. Minako almost forgot that her parents were dead. She had come to accept it though, and was almost happy because they had felt no pain and, in her mind, it was better than growing old and dying of cancer or some horrible disease. She still missed them though and said a little prayer for them every night before she went to sleep. It was now a Monday and they were finally out of school for the summer. She remembered that the senshi were having a meeting today at Rei’s temple.

“Darien? I have to go to the meeting soon, but do you want to go to a movie later or something?” Minako asked.

“Oh, I would love to go except I’m having dinner with Usagi tonight. You understand, right?” Darien said from the other room.

“Oh, of course. Well then I’ll see you when I get home,” Minako said with false enthusiasm. She was feeling differently about Darien now. She didn’t know what it was exactly but she had gotten to know him better and realized she’s be lost without him. She was almost jealous of Usagi and the love that she and Darien shared. “What am I thinking?” Minako wondered. “I love Usagi, why would I be jealous? I am HAPPY for them,” Minako decided. But was she really? For now, she was. She began walking through the busy streets and finally made her way to the temple. She was late as usual, but not as late as Usagi. “Hey guys, sorry I’m late, it was so busy!” Minako exclaimed.

“It’s ok, at least you’re not as late as that meatball head Usagi! Why can’t she come on time just once?” Rei asked. Just then, Usagi came stumbling through the doorway panting.

“Ah, sorry... everyone.. I’m.. out. of breath.. and late... again..” Usagi could hardly get the words out. The gang just looked at her and shook their heads. “Why are we having a meeting anyway?”

“Well,” said Ami, “Rei was having a bad feeling.”

Usagi just looked at her and began to complain, “What!? You dragged me over here when I could have been sleeping because REI had a BAD FEELING!? We haven’t had any problems with the Nega-Moon for months! What’s the problem?!” Usagi, now panting even more just fell over onto a chair.

“Arg, that is the whole problem USAGI! I have a feeling something big is coming and we have to be ready for it!"
