The Senshi of the Sun: Part Seven

The moon was beautiful tonight, and everything was peaceful. Perhaps I had been wrong about an attack. But I knew that I was lying to myself by saying that.

They were coming.

A guest came back outside and I felt a brush of cold air and a strange aura as he bumped into me while passing.

"Excuse me," he mumbled. His eyes met mine and I froze.

Zoisite? Impossible, he had disappeared in the battle with-oh goddess… He turned and ran in the direction of the garden. The princess.

"STOP!" He didn't stop, what a surprise. "Sun Star Power!" Transformed, I ran after him at full speed. I was slowly gaining on him, and then Selenity came into view. Her back was turned, as was Prince Endymion's. They were both looking towards Earth as a cloud of darkness enclosed around it. And Zoisite was getting very close. I was almost there but he'd reach them first, I realized as I saw him draw a sword.

I leapt into the air and used an energy blast to pass him in the air and push Selenity and Endymion out of the way. Zoisite turned towards the three of us, his eyes were cold and he wore a slight sneer on his face. I formed a sword of my own in my hand and he simply laughed before disappearing. I evaporated my sword and turned back to the two would-be-victims. Endymion, who had his hand on the hilt of his own sword, was staring where his ex-guard had disappeared and Selenity looked at me and mouthed the words 'thank you.' I nodded to her and looked at Endymion, "You two should come back inside now."

Selenity nodded agreement and Endymion whispered, "Zoisite? How could he betray me?"

"I'm sorry, prince." I extended my hand to Selenity and pulled her to her feet. Endymion had gotten up already. As we turned to return, I let them walk in front of me, both for privacy and protection. The attack was tonight, I had to stay near-by.
