Celestial Stories::Part Eight - Bye Bye Brian

Previous Chapter

"So,who are we missing?" The second girl asked a man's hologram projected from a glowing white marble.

"Just the two boys. Do you think you can deal with that?" The man replied his voice had a hint of static.

"Of course."

"Good. Again I'm sorry about this."

"It's alright. I don't mind." The white marble stopped glowing as the man's form was zapped away. The second girl stared out the window, she clenched her fist and tried to hold back tears by gritting her teeth. She turned her head a bit away from the window. Without warning she hit the window with her fist. The glass shattered on the floor and into the alley below.

When the Middle School got out leaning on the gate was a high school student. He was another new kid. He looked American by his outfit. He was wearing a white fisherman's hat, without the lures of course, baggy jeans and an old t- shirt. As soon as students began to come out of the building he became alert looking through the crowd. He spotted something or someone. "Excuse me?" He said and began to walk through the crowd. He came to a group of people who wouldn't move."Yo? Move?" The boy became angry," Hello! When someone asks you to move the polite thing to do is move your asses!" The people moved quickly. "THANK YOU!" He said in exasperation. "Hey man! Kid with the purple-black hair?" He moved closer. "You Brian?"

Brian turned," Yeah?"

"I got a friend, she want's ta talk with you, mind comin'?" He motioned toward the outside of the gate. Brian walked in that direction as the boy followed. This guy's wierd..... Wonder what the hell's goin' on? They walked around the corner.

"Ok, Akira here he is!"

"Thanks Bruce."

"AKIRA!?"

"Yeah, Brian you have to come with me for a moment ok? It's very important."

"Um...." Brian was trying to see if her could back away, but the boy she had called Bruce was blocking the way.

"Please, Brian, please?" Akira pleaded.

Brian nodded dumbly. Great now I've gotta be around the wierdo and a crazy girl. He followed them into a car. (Don't you ever do this kiddies) Bruce took the wheel and before Brian knew it they were there. They stepped out of the car. Akira went into her building not wasting any time. Bruce and Brian followed, on the elevator, and then they stopped at a door on the top floor. Akira opened the door and walked in. Brian looked around, he saw three other people from the high school. One he recognised as Nari's brother, Rowen, "Oh! You got him to come?!"

"I was afraid he wouldn't come!" A girl he thought her name was Iris?

"GREAT! I hope he'll help." Yuuki a girl who had just come to the school a few weeks ago. Akira had left the room.

"This is gonna sound weird so you better sit down." Bruce said. Brian sat in a chair, he was a bit tense. Everyone else sat too.

Akira entered the room again. The shades went down over the windows. The room was very dim. "You may believe this you may not, but whatever you think, what I am going to tell you now, is the truth. You, Brian, are a Celestial. The rest of us are too."

Brian gave her a funny look," Yeah, right, you're kidding me!"

Akira's face stayed serious, "No I'm not. Our mission is to defend the Universe against evil, like the ones before us."

"Sure, hey have you been watching Sailormoon, Akira?"

Akira sighed, "Catch."

Brian caught what she threw, he examined it, "So? It's an amulet of some sort. Big freakin' deal." He looked up.

Akira was gone and in her place was someone dressed in a black and white sailor fuku. She charged at him and put a sword up to his neck,"'Big freakin' deal'? I'll have to tell you it's a Big fuckin' deal."

"Ok. OK I'm sorry!" Brian eyed the sword.

"Will you listen?"

"Yes yes!" Brian shut his eyes.

She made the sword dissapear, "Good........" She smiled.

A chill went down Niomi's spine. She dropped the video game controller.

"What's wrong?" Miika asked her.

Niomi shook it off and then spoke, "I felt as if something was being taken from me. Something important......." Niomi stared out the window at the dark sky, the comical screaching of the dying video game character faded in her mind. She cleared her mind of everything, even Miika's questions. The moon was so bright. A small comet flew through the night. Niomi's mouth opened slightly. Then she slammed the window shut, dramatically. She leaned on the widowsill still in the shutting position. Just as dramatically she shut the curtains holding them together for a moment, before reluctantly letting go.

"Are you alright, Niomi?"

"I-", she started weakly, "I don't know.."

Quietly Tama shut the door, and crept back into her room. As she brushed her hair in her bed she thought, I wonder what's wrong with Niomi........... she sighed. Tama put the brush away. Astro jumped on the bed and rubbed his head on her hand. Again, Tama sighed. A few weeks after that night, Niomi noticed that Brian had been acting distant. She wasn't the only one, Tenshi, Tama and Nari noticed too.

"Really, what's up with Brian?" Nari made a face.

Tenshi snickered and while she said this she elbowed Niomi, "Maybe he's got a girlfriend."

"SHUT UP! He does not!" Niomi stood on her toes to seem taller, and held a fist over Tenshi's head ready to pound her. Unfortunatly Niomi's efforts of looking tough failed, for she tripped over her on foot and went face first into the pavement, "Ow...." She whined, her voice a bit muffled. When she righted herself, she realized the others weren't paying attention.

"Did you see that?" Tama asked wide-eyed. Nari and Tenshi nodded slowly. Niomi looked in the same direction. A large cloud of pink smoke was coming from the kiddie park. A woman, with pink hair and skin, dressed in white clothes, was sending cute little cupids around. The cupids would fire what looked like one arrow, then would split into many, making the chance of getting hit almost unavoidable. Once a person was hit the arrow would drain their energy and the cupid would turn a puff of smoke.

"SUN FIERY ILLUSIONS!" The attack combined with green lightning distroyed many of the cupids and their arrows.

This didn't frustrate the woman at all, she only laughed and sent out more cupids. "So who's here to challenge me?" she giggled as if the idea was ridiculous.

"I AM SAILOR CONSTELLATION!"

"I AM SAILOR SUN!"

"I AM SAILOR COMET!"

"I AM uh-um...... I really need a name.... Mercury dude?" They waited as Nari tried to think of a name for himself.

The woman tapped her foot getting more annoyed by the minute, "Okay that's it!" She sent a puff of pink smoke at them.

"Excuse me..... uh like N-oo!!!!! RAINBOW BALLET!" Silver ribbons swirled around, a mysterious pink energy was emitted from them and was absorbed by the woman. The woman's breathing became labored and her skin became a lighter shade of pink. The pink smoke clouded all of them, but was harmless.

"Hey, what can I say? We love to crash parties! Which is unfortunate because we're usually invited." The monster and the younger Celestials looked around. They could find no source of the voice. The pink puff began to fade. All around them there they were.

"Surprise!" A male voice said. Immediatly after that came echos of a greenish- brown energy. A burst of sound and light hit the monster, it made her even lighter pink. She screamed in pain, but tha scream could not be compaired to the one she let out when she realized someone had taken a glaive to her leg. She toppled over, pink poofs came from her leg, for that was what she was made of, pink poofs of energy.

"Well, at least it isn't as gross as when Roketta's arm was sliced off...." Sailor Comet grumbled.

"Well, I don't think you'll have much fun interrogating this one Sailor Earth." Sailor Rainbow commented.

"Oh?" Sailor Earth looked amused, "Why's that?"

"Lack of violence....." Said a boy wearing black armor with a greenish-brown tint.

"Shut up....."

Thye approached the fallen woman/monster.

"Who would like to do the honors?" Sailor Earth looked at the two new guys, one had black armor with a purplish tint.

"I'm tired, need food, sleep, maybe a t.v., and a girlfriend." The one with the green-brown tinted armor said and he sat down.

"You're being rediculous. That has nothing to do with it!"

"Yeah, so? He can do it maybe I'll do it next time." He yawned.

"Ummm.. What do you know about the Star-Diamond crystal?"

"Queen Beryl's looking for it?!" The woman said, the panic in her voice rising.

"Something we don't know, please?"

"Uh, it's very powerful and can distroy things easily?"

"Ok, I don't think this one's going to say much we might as well-"

"No, no wait! Queen Beryl has no idea how to find it! How's that?!"

"Very interesting....." Sailor Earth nodded.

The boy with the bluish armor shouted to the younger Celestials, "Yo! You can kill her now, but make it quick!"

The younger Celestials watched as the older ones dissapeared from the scene. Sailor Comet's eyes fell on the boy with the purplish armor. Again she felt a chill.

"Niomi are you going to be alright?" Tama asked when they got home.

"Yeah, I think so. It's just a little cold." Niomi smiled. Then her smile became wider,

"HA! I DON'T HAVE TO GO TO SCHOOL TOMORROW!"

Tama gave Niomi a look, and then started to laugh a bit. "Oh, Niomi, you're never gonna change!"
